John Felder is a licensed attorney and has been a member of the SC Bar Association since 1969. Felder & Associates is located in St. Matthews and is operated by John G. Felder, Sr. He is a registered lobbyist beginning the company in 1999. The business has grown over the years, becoming one of the top twenty-five lobbying entities in South Carolina. Mr. Felder served in the House of Representatives from 1974 to 1982 and 1984 to 1998. He also served six years as the Chairman of the Health Care Appropriations Committee. Mr. Felder held several positions that impacted directly on health care issues and the Medicaid program of SC. Mr. Felder understands the need to fully fund health care services and understands the relationship between funding needed health care services and the economic impact those funds would have on our state. He has served as the lobbyist for the SC Association of Residential Care Homes since 2004 and was instrumental in getting the OSS/IPC 2006 rate increase.
